Ceylon Aero International Academy is looking for a creative, organised and aviation minded Social Media Marketing Manager to lead the brand’s social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and other key digital platforms.
CAIA is building a premium international pilot training academy brand in Sri Lanka, with the goal of attracting future pilots, international cadets, parents, aviation partners and industry stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who can turn aviation, lifestyle, student journeys and academy updates into content that feels premium, inspiring and commercially strong.
We are not looking for someone who simply posts graphics.
We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, brand tone, content strategy and how to make a training academy feel world class online.
About This Role:
As the Social Media Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, creating, managing and growing CAIA’s social media presence.
You will work closely with the academy team, creative team, photographers, videographers and marketing partners to capture the story of pilot training in Sri Lanka.
From aircraft on the runway to student milestones, campus life, aviation education, lifestyle content and international recruitment campaigns, you will help shape how CAIA is seen by the world.
Your Role:
• Developing monthly social media content plans for CAIA
• Writing strong captions that feel premium, human and on brand
• Planning content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Creating ideas for reels, carousels, static posts, stories and short form videos
• Working with designers and video editors to bring content ideas to life
• Coordinating content shoots at the academy, airfield and training locations
• Capturing behind the scenes content where required
• Posting and scheduling content across all social media platforms
• Managing comments, messages and basic community engagement
• Researching aviation trends, student interests and competitor content
• Creating content around pilot training pathways, cadet life, aircraft, instructors, ratings and international student support
• Supporting paid ad campaigns with creative angles and caption ideas
• Tracking content performance and suggesting improvements
• Helping build CAIA into a recognised aviation training brand across Sri Lanka and international markets

What We're Looking For:
• Experience managing social media pages for a brand or business
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Excellent written English
• Ability to write captions that sound natural, engaging and professional
• Strong eye for design, layout and visual quality
• Understanding of short form video content and what performs online
• Ability to plan content in advance and stay organised
• Confidence working with designers, editors and internal teams
• Ability to turn simple ideas into strong content angles
• Interest in aviation, education, travel or premium lifestyle brands
• Comfortable working in a growing brand environment
• Ability to manage multiple content pieces at once
Good To Have:
• Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, CapCut or similar tools
• Experience creating reel ideas and video briefs
• Basic photography or video capture skills
• Experience with paid social media campaigns
• Experience working with education, travel, aviation or student focused brands
• Understanding of international student marketing
