About The Role
The Social Media Manager reports to the Marketing Director and owns the day-to-day strategy,
execution, and performance of Elwood’s social channels. This role sits at the intersection of
social strategy, content creation, and community management — translating Elwood’s brand
vision, product launches, and cultural moments into compelling social content and conversation.
The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning and producing content, managing creator
collaborations, engaging with the community, and ensuring Elwood’s social presence remains
consistent, culturally relevant, and aligned with the broader marketing and brand strategy.
Core Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy, Planning & Management
- Own social media planning and strategy across all social channels, primarily TikTok and Instagram, with oversight of YouTube, Pinterest, and any new platforms Elwood chooses to activate
- Build and manage content calendars aligned with launches, campaigns, and brand moments
- Ensure channels are consistently active, fresh, and aligned with overall brand direction
- Partner closely with Content and Marketing teams to support campaign goals through social
Content Creation (TikTok & Instagram)
- Own and create social content for the brand across key platforms
- Film, edit, and publish short-form video (try-ons, styling, BTS, drops, culture, humor, educational, interviews, and trend-forward content)
- Translate products, drops, and brand moments into scroll-stopping, culturally relevant content
- Repurpose TikTok content into Reels and Stories
- Contribute to creative ideation for social content tied to larger campaigns and brand initiatives
- Concept and shoot flat lay product content that can be repurposed across paid ads, PDPs, email, and performance marketing channels
Creator Budget & Partnerships
- Manage a dedicated budget for content creators and community collaborators
- Identify, brief, and coordinate creators to support social content and campaigns
- Ensure creator partnerships align with brand standards, timelines, and objectives
Community, DMs & Customer Experience
- Manage all DMs, comments, and replies across social channels
- Act as first-line customer service on social (orders, product questions, issues)
- Escalate bugs, shipping issues, and product feedback to CX, Content, and Marketing teams
- Maintain a warm, on-brand, and responsive voice at all times
- Actively engage with the Elwood community and ensure they remain at the center of everything we do
Posting, Scheduling & Publishing
- Publish daily across TikTok and Instagram
- Manage posting cadence, scheduling, and execution
- Ensure content aligns with launches, campaigns, and key brand moments
Performance & Creative Feedback Loop
- Track content performance (views, engagement, saves, traffic, sales where applicable)
- Share insights and learnings with creative and marketing teams
- Use performance data to inform future content, concepts, and creative direction
What We’re Looking For
- Strong TikTok and Instagram native creator with a deep understanding of platform strategy
- A big-picture, creative thinker who can develop social and creative strategies rooted in Elwood’s brand DNA and activate them consistently across channels
- Comfortable both on camera and behind it, with a strong point of view on storytelling and execution
- Knows how to make product feel cultural, elevated, and on-brand rather than transactional
- Highly organized, fast-moving, and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Understands how to balance community engagement, customer service, and content creation
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years managing and creating content for brand social accounts (DTC, fashion, or lifestyle preferred)
- Proven ability to grow and engage audiences on TikTok and Instagram
- Strong instincts for social-first storytelling, trends, and what drives engagement + conversion
- Hands-on experience shooting and editing high-performing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to translate performance data into content that improves results
- Experience briefing and managing creators or UGC partnerships
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to execute quickly across multiple priorities
- Strong cross-functional communication skills (Marketing, Content, CX)
- Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera
- Clear point of view on brand, culture, and aesthetics
