Pophaus is a Toronto based creative agency building scroll stopping content for fast growing CPG brands. We run studio shoots, manage creators, and ship content that actually moves the needle. Our clients are founders and marketing leaders who care about craft, speed, and results.
Who You Are
You are the person who saves TikToks in a folder called "steal this," follows 40 new CPG brands a month, and notices when a brand's tone shifts overnight. You live on Instagram and TikTok, and you have strong opinions about what works on them.
You're obsessed with consumer brands. The first thing you do when you discover a new CPG, food, beverage, or wellness brand is pull up their feed and judge it. You know which brands are winning on social right now, and more importantly, you know why.
You're not looking for a role where you post what someone else briefs you. You want to build the calendar, pitch the ideas, brief the creators, and own the outcome.

Why This Role Exists
Pophaus works with consumer brands where community and creators are not nice to have. They are the brand.
This role owns three critical things:
- Day to day social media execution on Instagram and TikTok
- Originating content ideas and building content calendars
- Managing creators and talent relationships that power our content engine
If content goes live, creators are onboarded, or a brand's comments and DMs are active, this role touches it.
What You'll Own
Content Strategy & Ideation
You are responsible for originating the content ideas that drive each brand forward, not just executing them.
- Research each brand's audience, category, and competitors to surface content angles that actually resonate
- Pitch fresh content ideas weekly that connect brand positioning to what is currently working on Instagram and TikTok
- Identify emerging trends, formats, sounds, and cultural moments early and translate them into brand specific executions
- Build full monthly content calendars for 3 to 4 brands, including content pillars, post types, hooks, and rationale
- Own the why behind every post, not just the what
- Bring a point of view to creative reviews and strategy calls
Social Media Management
- Execute the content calendars you build across Instagram and TikTok for 3 to 4 brands
- Write captions that sound native to the platform
- Post Reels, TikToks, Stories, and carousels on schedule
- Monitor performance weekly and translate insights into next month's calendar
- Ensure every piece of content aligns with brand voice, strategy, and current platform behavior
Community Management
- Respond to comments and DMs in a timely, brand appropriate tone
- Proactively engage with followers and relevant accounts to build community
- Identify community insights that can inform future content
- Escalate issues or feedback to the internal team early, not late
Talent & Creator Management
- Source creators for Instagram and TikTok across multiple brand categories
- Handle outreach, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management
- Brief creators clearly and professionally so the work comes back right the first time
- Track deliverables, timelines, and usage rights
- Build a reliable talent bench Pophaus can lean on for years, not one offs
Collaboration & Ownership
- Work closely with our Art Director, designers, video editors, and account leads
- Keep Notion, Slack, and shared drives organized and up to date
- Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and the internal team
- Flag risks early instead of reacting late
- Take full ownership of your accounts without needing reminders
What You'll Have at Pophaus
You won't be doing this alone. You'll have:
- A dedicated Art Director who handles creative direction and visual strategy
- In house video editors, designers, and a studio for shoots
- Direct access to the founder and account leads for strategic guidance
- A growing creator and UGC network to plug into
- A clear growth path. This role is built to grow into Senior Social Media Manager or Social Media Strategist within 12 to 18 months as Pophaus scales
Non-Negotiables
- 3+ years managing Instagram and TikTok for consumer brands
- Proven track record of building content calendars and originating content ideas, not just executing handed down briefs
- Hands on experience with CPG, food, beverage, wellness, or supplements
- Deep understanding of what performs on social in North America right now
- Hands on experience managing creators or UGC talent
- Confident written English for captions, DMs, and creator communication
- Comfortable managing 3 to 4 brands at once without dropping balls
- A genuine obsession with consumer brands and social culture
- A problem solver. If you see an issue, you're already three steps into a solution
Tools You Should Be Comfortable With
- Instagram and TikTok native tools and analytics
- Scheduling platforms like Later, Buffer, Sprout, or similar
- Google Drive, Slack, and Notion
- Social listening tools
- Creator platforms like Grin, Aspire, or similar
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000 to $70,000 CAD base, based on experience
