Social Media & Content Marketing Associate (Part-Time)

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Social Media & Content Marketing Associate to support the execution of our organic social media and content initiatives.

This role is responsible for producing high-quality content, executing social media plans, and supporting day-to-day marketing efforts. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing to bring campaigns and ideas to life across social platforms and other content channels.

This is an entry-level role designed for someone early in their marketing career who is eager to build skills in content creation, social media, and brand execution. Over time, this role will have the opportunity to grow into greater ownership of content planning, strategy, and other marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Execution (Primary Focus)

  • Execute social media content across platforms, including:
  • Scheduling and publishing posts
  • Writing captions aligned with brand voice
  • Managing comments and community engagement
  • Support the development of social content calendars in collaboration with the Head of Marketing
  • Translate content direction and campaign ideas into platform-specific posts
  • Monitor social trends and platform behaviors to inform content execution

2. Content Creation & Creative Development

  • Create high-quality content, including:
  • Graphics (static posts, carousels, infographics, etc.)
  • Short-form video content
  • Basic motion or visual assets as needed
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, tone, and visual identity
  • Continuously improve creative output based on feedback and performance

3. Content Support Across Channels

  • Assist in the development and formatting of blog content and other written materials
  • Support content needs for email and broader marketing campaigns
  • Help organize and maintain content assets and libraries

4. Affiliate & Influencer Coordination

  • Support the management of affiliate and influencer relationships
  • Assist with outreach, communication, and coordination of partnerships
  • Help track performance, deliverables, and timelines for affiliate and influencer programs
  • Ensure timely execution of campaigns and content from partners
  • Maintain organization of partner lists, agreements, and ongoing collaborations

5. Performance Awareness & Iteration

  • Track basic performance metrics across social content (engagement, reach, etc.)
  • Identify patterns in high- and low-performing content
  • Apply learnings to improve future content output

6. Audience Understanding & Brand Alignment

  • Develop an understanding of target audiences and how they engage with content
  • Tailor content execution to different audiences and platforms
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual presentation

7. Operational & Marketing Support

  • Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks and execution needs
  • Support campaign launches, product initiatives, and ad hoc requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed to support marketing efforts

Success Indicators

  • Consistent, high-quality content output across social channels
  • Improvement in engagement, reach, and overall content performance
  • Strong alignment with brand voice and visual standards
  • Ability to execute quickly with increasing independence
  • Reduced need for revisions over time as quality improves

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or marketing (including internships, freelance work, or academic projects)
  • A portfolio of relevant work (social content, graphics, video, writing, etc.)
  • Strong interest in social media platforms and content trends
  • Basic proficiency in design and content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a part-time role
