About The Car Edition
The Car Edition is a growing automotive workshop and media brand, creating content around real mechanical work, diagnostics, builds, podcasts and the day-to-day reality of the trade.
We post regularly across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms, and we’re looking for a Junior Content Creator / Presenter to join the team and help us film, edit, present and manage our short-form content.
This is a great opportunity for someone creative who enjoys social media, wants to improve their skills, and likes the idea of working around cars and content every day.

The Role
We’re looking for someone who can help us consistently create engaging short-form content for social media.
This role is ideal for someone who is not only confident behind the camera, but also comfortable being in front of it.
The role is focused mainly on:
• filming content on a mobile phone
• appearing in videos and presenting where required
• editing short-form videos
• creating visuals such as thumbnails and posters
• helping us stay active and responsive across social media
You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you must already be comfortable creating content, have a good understanding of what performs well online, and be confident enough to speak on camera when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
• Record engaging short-form videos on a mobile phone
• Capture workshop activity, cars, repairs and behind-the-scenes moments
• Spot content opportunities throughout the day
• Help bring ideas to life in a way that feels natural, engaging and relevant to our audience
On-Camera / Presenting
• Appear in short-form content where required
• Confidently speak on camera and help present content
• Deliver simple pieces to camera, intros, reactions or voice-led clips
• Be part of content in a way that feels natural and engaging
Video Editing
• Edit TikToks / Reels / Shorts to a strong standard
• Add captions, hooks, sound effects and pacing to improve engagement
• Help create content that is optimised for social media
Design / Visuals
• Create:
• posters
• social media graphics
• thumbnails
• simple promotional visuals
Social Media Support
• Help manage TikTok and Instagram
• Engage with followers in comments
• Go through DMs and respond to customer enquiries where appropriate
• Support daily posting and content scheduling

• Help with content ideas and trends
• Use ChatGPT / AI tools to support content creation where helpful
• Support with longer-form YouTube content where needed
• Basic photography / camera knowledge

What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Confident filming on a mobile phone
• Able to edit short-form content to a good standard
• Good understanding of TikTok / Reels / Shorts style content
• Comfortable being on camera and speaking in videos
• Confident personality and able to present naturally
• Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and proactive
Beneficial (but not essential)
• Experience with:
• CapCut
• Premiere Pro
• Canva
• Photoshop
• Basic camera / microphone knowledge
• Basic understanding of ChatGPT / AI tools
• Automotive interest or knowledge

Content Output Expectation
The target for this role is to help deliver:
6 engaging short-form videos per week
Uploaded daily (excluding Mondays)
We are looking for someone who understands that consistency matters, but also knows how to make content interesting and worth watching.

Working Pattern
This is a full-time role based at our Huntingdon workshop.
Standard working hours are:
9:00am – 6:00pm
There may also be the occasional Saturday or Sunday filming day, depending on content, events or special projects.
This would be infrequent and usually no more than around once per month, but flexibility is important.

• Spend a lot of time on TikTok / Reels / Shorts and understand what works
• Enjoy filming, editing and creating content
• Feel comfortable speaking to camera
• Have a creative eye
• Want to build experience in content, presenting and social media
