About the Role
The role is a full-time position working onsite in Gladesville within the fundraising team. We are looking for a team player, someone who is creative and energetic to join our busy fundraising and marketing team. Your main role will be to create and schedule dynamic social media content. The role also encompasses producing our weekly organisational newsletter and supporting fundraising events and activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own our socials and bring creative ideas to life every day
- Be an active team player within the fundraising team who thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments
- Attend fundraising events, school/adult services program activities and special carer days to maximise content opportunities
- Own the content calendar, ensuring timely, strategic posting across all channels. Coordinate with the team to brief and gather content for events and key marketing moments, including advertising our professional learning courses
- Manage and maintain Giant Steps Australia social media accounts, ensuring a consistent voice and visual identity. Monitor comments and messages to foster an engaged community
- Track and analyse social media metrics, provide regular performance reports and use insights to refine our approach and improve results
- Identify opportunities and new channels to grow fundraising revenue and market our events
- Create and deliver our school and Adult Autism Services newsletters
- Grow and maintain image and video libraries
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have minimum 2 years’ social media experience and will display the following skills, and attributes:
- Social media pro with experience across various platforms
- Creative storyteller who makes engaging, scroll-stopping content
- Highly organised, managing calendars, briefs and multiple projects with ease to meet deadlines
- Engaging communicator who sparks conversations and grows audiences
- Data-driven thinker who uses insights to improve performance
- Skilled in content management system (WordPress), email marketing (Mailchimp) and graphic design platforms (Canva, Adobe)
- Proactive, able to self-manage and a team player with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and analytical skills – both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- A strong vocabulary and way with words to curate and communicate our stories
