Senior Publicist Jobs in Los Angeles Metropolitan Area at Newhouse
Newhouse, and integrated marketing, creative and communications agency, is looking for a Senior Publicist with superior communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a desire to build valuable experience working with some of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry.
You’ll be working with a small team on a stellar roster of television, film, talent, music and brand clientele. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a highly collaborative team structure within an entrepreneurial environment, and will be responsible for servicing existing clients as well as developing new business opportunities while helping the department expand. Entertainment experience is required.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Servicing both national and digital accounts
- Identifying, engaging and pitching prospective clients
- Spearheading new client relationships
- Relationship building with influencers and editors
- Drafting of proposals and strategies
- Client presentations
- Assisting and/or managing events and junkets
- Drafting of press kits and notes
- Compiling press coverage for reporting, breaks and weekly status reports
- Collaboration with other agency departments including Social Media
- Travel to and from Los Angeles as needed
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Familiarity with online tools and databases such as Cision
- Availability after hours to field client requests
- Ability to work independently and be self motivated, while still working within a team environment
