About the Role
We're looking for a senior marketing creative to own the paid social creative for a UK tech startup. This is a fully remote role and you will work directly with the founder.
Expect direction to come as a rough idea,or even a single-line message rather than a finished brief. Your job is to transform that initial spark into testable creative angles, then produce the creative assets needed to test them. Meta is the primary channel, with TikTok and Instagram Reels alongside it.
The person we're looking for has enough experience to distinguish proven creative principles from passing trends. You understand not only what works, but why it works. You're as comfortable writing compelling hooks as you are editing the video around them, and you can confidently interpret performance data to identify which concepts deserve further iteration and which have reached their limit.
As an early team member at a lean, fast growing startup, you will have a direct hand in shaping their creative process, their company culture, and how they scale.
Responsibilities
- Angles and concepts: come up with the angles worth testing, then build the creative assets.
- Static ads: feed statics and carousel ads, plus multiple creative variations iterated from winning concepts.
- Conversion copy: write the hooks and copy that live inside the creative and carry the click.
- Short form video: edit for Meta first, then TikTok and Reels.
- Re editing: turn existing footage and assets into fresh cuts and new angles.
- UGC direction: script, brief and source creators, then get usable material back from them.
- Basic shooting: pick up a camera or a phone and capture simple footage when it's faster than sourcing it.
- Motion graphics: animated text and light product animation to lift a cut.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years as a marketing creative, performance creative, or in a social first studio or brand team.
- Portfolio: required. Show us statics and short form videos you personally made, and tell us which ones performed.
- Video craft: confident in Premiere, CapCut or similar. After Effects for simple 2D motion is a strong plus.
- Design craft: Figma, Photoshop or similar for statics and carousels.
- Paid social fluency: you understand what a hook has to do in the first two seconds and why a variation wins.
- Tech skills: hands on experience using AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude or Midjourney) to speed up creative production.
- Communication: excellent written and verbal English at a native or near native fluency level.
- Mindset: proactive and self directed. You take a vague steer from a founder and come back with three options rather than three questions.
- Bonus: experience marketing nootropics, supplements or other DTC products is a real advantage.
- Shift: reliably able to work European (CET) business hours from Sri Lanka (approximately 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM local time).
