Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
-Develop and implement a comprehensive scholarships and financial aid strategy.
-Establish policies, frameworks, and eligibility criteria aligned with best practices.
-Align financial aid programs with institutional enrollment and academic objectives.
Program Management
-Design, manage, and continuously improve scholarship and financial aid programs (merit-based, need-based, partial and full awards).
-Oversee the full lifecycle of aid programs from application to award and renewal.
-Regularly review and update program policies and guidelines.
Evaluation and Decision-Making
-Lead the evaluation process of applications using fair, data-driven criteria.
-Chair or oversee scholarship committees and approval processes.
-Ensure consistency, transparency, and integrity in awarding decisions.
Financial Management
-Manage and monitor the scholarships and financial aid budget.
-Develop financial forecasts and cost projections.
-Ensure efficient allocation of resources and long-term sustainability.
Governance and Compliance
-Ensure compliance with institutional policies and government regulations.
-Maintain transparency and accountability in all processes.
-Identify and mitigate risks related to financial aid programs.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
-Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and external partners.
-Identify and secure funding opportunities for scholarships.
-Represent the institution in relevant forums and events.
Student Experience Enhancement
-Improve the end-to-end student journey in financial aid services.
-Oversee communication channels, support services, and inquiries.
-Enhance digital systems and platforms for application and tracking.
Team Leadership
-Lead, mentor, and develop the financial aid team.
-Set performance objectives and monitor team effectiveness.
-Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Skills Requirements:
– Strong financial and analytical skills.
-Strategic thinking and decision-making ability.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
-Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
-Proficiency in financial aid systems and data analysis tools.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
-8–12 years of relevant experience in scholarships, financial aid, or higher education.
