Key Responsibilities:
– Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and end-user services to ensure high availability, scalability, and operational excellence.
-Data & Analytics: Lead data operations, governance, and integration, ensuring accuracy, security, and interoperability of institutional data.
-Service Management: Implement ITIL-based processes (incident, change, problem management), ensuring SLA adherence and consistent service delivery.
-Business Intelligence & Reporting: Manage analytics platforms and dashboards to provide timely insights for decision-making across the university.
-Cloud & Emerging Technology: Drive adoption of cloud solutions, automation, and innovative tools to optimize costs and enhance efficiency.
-Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure compliance with NCA, NDMO, GDPR, and other regulatory standards through controls, audits, and risk mitigation.
-Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs, ensuring performance optimization and cost-effectiveness.
-Performance & Reporting: Provide the D&T VP with regular updates on KPIs, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Skills Requirements:
– IT infrastructure, networks & end-user support

-Cloud computing & automation (AWS, Azure, GCP)
-ITIL processes, SLAs & service excellence
-Cybersecurity & regulatory compliance oversight

-Performance monitoring & value realization

Qualifications
– 10+ years of progressive leadership in IT infrastructure, operations, and data management.
-Proven track record in managing complex IT environments, cloud services, and analytics.
-Strong experience in vendor and contract management.
-Knowledge of ITIL, enterprise architecture, and data management frameworks.
-Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-Higher education or cultural sector experience is an advantage.
