Job Description:
- Work directly with clients and senior staff in support of client communications, as appropriate.
- Develop and foster strong and positive relationships with current and potential clients.
- Create and execute communication strategies, securing high-impact coverage in relevant media outlets, developing messaging across communication platforms, and initiating other communications and/or public relations initiatives.
- Provide client counsel as they navigate business and reputational challenges.
- Keep abreast of major political, economic, client industry and current affairs news and the media coverage that surrounds them.
- Write, proof and edit a variety of PR and marketing materials, including (but not limited to) press releases, factsheets, FAQs, feature articles, social media content calendars & posts, and client channel content, as required by account work scope.
- Support various accounts simultaneously, providing good quality output under deadline.
- Draft and edit any outgoing client reports as and when required as per work scope. Reports must be accurate, error-free and informative in view of objectives.
- Support the public relations activities of client crisis/issue.
- Develop creative story angles and secure media coverage on behalf of clients in print, broadcast and online media outlets.
- Stay abreast of media turnover, updates and emerging media outlets. Build and maintain positive relationships with business trade and current affairs media.
- Pitch media events, stories or releases to media editors/journalists on behalf of clients.
- Review client itineraries, agendas, recap reports and media clips, and work with support staff to ensure timely delivery of these communications to clients.
- Undertake research for new business proposals and present them to potential clients.
Requirement:
- 3-5 years work experience in corporate communications or other related PR/communications fields.
- Strong proficiency in Myanmar (written and spoken) and English (written and spoken) languages.
- A passion for media. You get your news from a wide range of sources and follow broader media trends.
- A fair understanding of general political, economic and current affairs developments in the market.
