Senior Environment Artist Jobs in Vancouver, Canada at Electronic Arts
We’re looking for a Senior Environment Artist — Assets to help define and deliver a realistic, immersive world grounded in believable materials, construction, and detail. You will operate at a project-wide level—creating the most architecturally complex and hero-level assets on the Battlefield. You will help us refine standards, improve our asset pipelines, and ensure consistency across all 3D asset creation.
You’ll not only create assets, but elevate the people, pipelines, and processes around them. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, mentor other artists, and help define best practices that empower teams to grow as members of our team.
You will report to the Art Line Director.
What You’ll Do:
- Create high-quality, photoreal 3D assets across props, architecture, and modular systems.
- Refine and uphold standards for modeling, surfacing, and asset consistency.
- Drive modular workflows and asset reuse to support scalable world-building.
- Provide feedback through art reviews and mentor other artists.
- Partner with Leads/Directors on scope, estimates, and production planning.
- Support external development team to ensure quality and consistency.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience creating realistic 3D assets for AAA games, with mastery in at least two of the following: hard surface modeling, architectural construction, modular kit creation, or organic asset work.
- Portfolio demonstrating realistic 3D asset work for AAA games.
- Proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Substance, and real-time engines.
- Proficiency with SideFX Houdini for procedural modeling, fracturing, or destruction workflows.
- Experience with P pipelines and real-world material recreation.
- Deep understanding of game production workflows, including estimating scope and timelines.
- Experience balancing hands‑on creation with leadership, mentorship, and process improvement.
- Experience presenting ideas, surfacing risks, and influencing decisions.
- A collaborative mindset and desire to share knowledge and grow others.

Pay Transparency – North America COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $133,500 – $186,400 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top‑up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full‑time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
