Job Title: Senior Designer- Woven Mens & Womens
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects & deadlines within the design/development calendar while maintaining creative integrity & attention to detail
- Manage weekly meetings with cross departments to ensure all design notes from Creative Director are followed and clear to proceed.
- Create detailed technical sketches to clearly communicate design intent, fabrication and construction details
- Curate board for internal presentations to our Creative Director
- Create in depth CADs that follow line plan provided by Merchandizing team.
- Manage seasonal RLM entries and ensure all entries are up to date with seasonal changes
- Build/ Manage seasonal folders with all design information / approvals per for internal organization.
- Oversee design fittings with Development providing thoughtful design input to ensure integrity of fit, proportion & aesthetic
- Provide design solutions and suggestions for all on-going seasons (more than one season happening at a time).
- Manage all 2D Flats and familiarize past season styles to provide suggestions during the concepting stage.
- Collaborate with Raw Materials department and ensure deadlines are met.
- Partner with Development & Tech Designer to ensure fit integrity, fabrication feasibility
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in woven
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD sketching
- Experience working in RLM system
- Strong technical ability : pattern awareness, construction knowledge, embroidery & print techniques
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication & presentation skills
- Ability to balance creative direction with production realities
- In-depth knowledge in garment construction
- Knowledge in Textiles and Raw Materials
** This is located in Norfolk, CT.
Salary $110,000-$120,000
