A premier global off-price retail leader is seeking a conceptually driven, highly collaborative Senior Designer / Art Director to join our fast-paced, in-house creative studio under the direction of Assistant Creative Director Caroline Keefe.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary creative team responsible for developing innovative, strategically driven social media and digital concepts. You will partner directly with copywriters to translate high-level strategies into finished, memorable, and persuasive creative products. The ideal candidate possesses a strong design sense, a deep obsession with social media platforms, and the ability to capture and compose beautiful imagery.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with a Copywriter to conceive, design, and execute high-impact social media content across multiple channels, ensuring strict alignment with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
- Digitally capture and compose products and lifestyle concepts both in-house and on-location to fuel a constant pipeline of fresh content.
- Monitor and shepherd creative materials through all stages of pre-production and production under the direction and approval of the senior creative leadership.
- Partner effectively with brand managers, channel project managers, traffic, production, and studio teams to meet project objectives, schedules, budgets, and tight deadlines.
- Efficiently manage your own daily workflows and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, consistently reporting project status to the senior creative team.
- Remain highly current on fast-moving industry trends, design tech, and social media best practices to inject modern energy into the brand's visual output.
Qualifications:
- 4-6+ years of related work experience and/or training within fashion, social media design, photography, and styling ecosystems.
- High School degree required; a BFA or specialized Design degree is mandatory.
- Elite proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite-specifically InDesign, Photoshop (including .gif building), Illustrator, and animation tools like After Effects.
- A solid, advanced understanding of graphic design, layout, illustration, typography, and animation as they uniquely apply to social media and digital channels.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to articulate ideas both visually and verbally whether working with or without an active copywriter on a project.
- Proven ability to effectively pitch and present creative concepts to immediate teammates, internal clients, and senior creative leadership.
