The Role
We are seeking a Retail Media Manager to own the execution and optimization of data-driven digital marketing programs across key retail media platforms, including Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Walmart, and more.
Operating at the intersection of retail media and digital commerce, this individual will ensure seamless execution across retailer portals while maintaining alignment with broader media, content, and commercial priorities. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of data, thrives in fast-moving environments, and is comfortable building and scaling capabilities in an evolving landscape.
This is a highly execution-focused role, accountable for managing workflows, tracking and reporting performance, and ensuring consistency across campaigns and digital shelf initiatives. The position requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Media Execution & Optimization
- Lead execution and optimization of retail media campaigns across Walmart, Target, Kroger, and other platforms.
- Own end-to-end campaign setup, including account structure, campaign builds, keyword strategy, and targeting frameworks.
- Manage day-to-day campaign operations, including bid strategy, budget pacing, and ongoing performance-based optimizations, ensuring all campaigns adhere to platform best practices and deliver against defined objectives.
Performance Measurement & Insights
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance against key e-commerce metrics such as ROAS, iROAS, and influenced sales.
- Translate reporting into clear, actionable insights, identifying trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent reporting cadence aligned to performance goals and broader business priorities.
Creative & Content Integration
- Partner closely with creative teams to manage asset development, feedback, approvals, and deployment.
- Lead creative testing and optimization strategies, including A/B testing, to continuously improve media effectiveness and digital shelf performance.
Project Management & Coordination
- Own timelines, workflows, deliverables, the retail media calendar, and budget management across multiple initiatives and key retailers.
- Maintain clear documentation and provide regular status updates to ensure seamless execution.
- Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings and performance reviews to keep teams aligned and on track.
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales, field marketing, agencies, and retail partners to align on KPIs, execution, and performance expectations.
- Ensure retail media efforts are fully integrated into broader brand, media, and commerce strategies, with consistency across campaigns and digital shelf execution.
Capability Building & Strategic Support
- Evaluate new retail media opportunities, tools, and channels to support ongoing capability development.
- Contribute to future investment strategies and help educate internal stakeholders on the evolving retail media landscape.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in retail media, digital commerce, or e-commerce
- Familiarity with major retail media platforms (e.g., Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing)
- Experience within CPG and/or consumables preferred
- Strong understanding of digital commerce content and PDP optimization
- Proven ability to manage campaigns end-to-end and drive performance outcomes
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a test-and-learn approach
- Enthusiasm for performance marketing, emerging platforms, and the evolving e-commerce landscape
