Position Overview

The Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising) will design and implement engaging retail displays to enhance customer experience and drive sales. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visual merchandising strategies. Maintain brand standards across all retail environments.

Responsibilities Of The Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising)

  • Plan and erect commercial displays in retail stores and trade exhibitions.
  • Arrange merchandise, props, and signage to reflect inventory changes and promotions.
  • Consult with store managers and sales associates for optimal display placement.
  • Maintain and inspect props, mannequins, and products for quality.
  • Develop creative concepts for window and in-store displays.
  • Assemble and install displays using colors, lights, and accessories.
  • Collaborate with advertising and sales teams for product launches.
  • Good understanding of visual merchandising standards.
  • Prepare sketches, floor plans, and models for proposed displays.
  • Use computers to produce signage and manage inventory records.

Required Experience/Skills For The Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising)

  • 2+ years in retail design or visual merchandising.
  • Strong creative and artistic abilities.
  • Proficiency in display assembly and installation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle and move objects, perform general physical activities.
  • Experience with computer-based signage production.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards for retail environments.

Preferred Experience/Skills For The Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising)

  • Familiarity with promotional strategy development.

Education Requirements
