We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees shall mainly assist the research team for a project “ Reimagining the Classics of Chinese Literature: Immersive Experiences of Eileen Chang’s Literary World and Classical Travel Narratives ” (Project No.: R7073). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Constructing 2D/3D assets for the use of the research project;
- Researching and developing novel 2D/3D visualization and interaction experience with Chinese literature and culture for large-scale immersive display space;
- Assisting the Principal Investigator/supervisors to prepare experiments; and
- Conducting other ad-hoc research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Animation, Interactive Media, or any related disciplines;
- Knowledge in 2D/3D animation production;
- Good 2D/3D-related artistic and visual design principles and techniques;
- Understanding interactive 3D simulation in virtual / augmented reality or generative AI would be an advantage;
- Fresh graduates are welcome, and candidates who have intention to pursue a research postgraduate degree are preferable;
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
