Role Description The Reel Creator & Editor role is a full-time on-site position based in Cairo. This role is responsible for planning, scripting, and producing short-form video content (reels) that effectively communicates the stories, products, and updates of stealth ventures. Day-to-day tasks include filming and editing vertical videos, selecting clips, adding music and sound effects, incorporating captions and graphics, and optimizing content for social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The person in this role will collaborate with founders and team members to understand key messages, translate them into engaging visual narratives, and maintain consistent brand tone and style across all content. Additional responsibilities include organizing media assets, staying current on short-form video trends, and iterating on content based on performance insights and audience feedback.
Qualifications
- Strong reel and short-form video production skills, including filming, editing, and basic motion graphics.
- Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software).
- Solid understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices for vertical video content.
- Ability to develop concepts, write simple scripts, and translate ideas into clear visual stories.
- Attention to detail in timing, transitions, audio quality, and on-screen text and captions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with founders and cross-functional teams.
- Organizational skills for managing multiple projects, deadlines, and media libraries in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience creating reels or short-form content for startups, brands, or personal channels is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with basic analytics or insights tools to understand content performance and refine future work.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, design, communication, or a related field is a plus, but equivalent practical experience is also valued.
