Role Description The Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production of health news content, from planning to publication, ensuring high editorial and visual standards. This part-time, on-site role in Dubai involves coordinating daily content schedules, managing production workflows, and aligning outputs with the platform’s editorial priorities. The person in this role will supervise content preparation for digital channels, coordinate with writers, designers, and videographers, and ensure all materials meet quality, accuracy, and compliance guidelines. Responsibilities include monitoring production timelines, troubleshooting operational issues, and optimizing processes for efficient turnaround of breaking news and planned features. The Production Manager will also track performance metrics, suggest improvements to content formats, and support continuous enhancement of production tools and practices.
Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource planning for media or digital content.
- Experience overseeing end-to-end content production for online platforms, including basic familiarity with digital publishing tools and formats.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially when handling health-related information and official announcements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional creative and editorial teams.
- Understanding of health news, public health topics, or experience in healthcare or news/media environments is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong plus for working with regional health content and sources.
- Comfort working on-site in Dubai during agreed part-time hours and adapting to occasional schedule changes for urgent news coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, journalism, public health, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
