Production Lead Jobs in Greater St. Louis at Origin Agency
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and technically fluent. You know how to maintain design integrity across large-scale campaigns while navigating fast-moving timelines, evolving requirements, and high-volume asset production. This role requires someone who elevates the work through precision, consistency, and executional excellence while partnering closely with Creative Directors and internal teams across all phases of production. You will own production operations, helping to write out and train on SOPs. You will also help maintain and manage our production freelance network.
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
• Creative Scaling & Brand Management
Translate concepts into production-ready, scalable outputs across social, digital, and commerce platforms. You will champion design integrity, legibility, and visual impact while fluidly jumping between multiple brands, distinct brand books, varying dielines and orientations, and fast-moving campaign timelines.
• Packaging, Retail & Large Format Execution
Transform conceptual designs into flawless mechanicals for physical packaging (labels, carriers, boxes), multi-dimensional retail displays (structural dielines, corrugated tolerances), and massive Out-of-Home (OOH) large-format files. Bring a strong executional eye to how food and products show up visually.
• Bulletproof Quality Control & Legal Compliance
Act as the ultimate final line of defense against layout errors, typos, alignment shifts, incorrect bleeds, and low-res graphics. Seamlessly integrate rigid alcohol-related regulatory constraints into layouts, including TTB health warnings, required text sizing, font weights, UPC/barcodes, and QR codes.
• Flawless File Discipline & Server Management
Deliver hyper-precise, clean files built with perfect canvas structure, non-destructive editing, accurate bleeds/slugs, and high res images. Maintain highly organized folders with clear naming conventions.
• Prepress, Substrates & Vendor Collaboration
Apply expert-level color correction and separation for specific print vendors. Partner closely with printers to evaluate physical proofs, review drawdowns, navigate complex substrates (metallic films, textured stocks, clear labels, direct-to-glass), properly build mechanical layers for specialty finishes (foils, varnishes, spot UV), and lead live onsite press checks to ensure total color accuracy.
• Time Management
Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and contribute to rapid-turn content needs.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10+ years of experience in design production, digital design, or a related creative role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating executional excellence across digital and social • Experience creating and versioning content at scale.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with familiarity or experience in AI-enabled creative tools and workflows
- Experience using AI tools to support high-volume content creation, asset generation, and workflow automation, particularly in creating and scaling multiple variations of creative outputs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at speed without sacrificing quality
- Experience working within brand guidelines and asset systems
Preferred Plus:
- CPG experience or experience in Alcohol or other highly regulated industry
- Experience creating or managing high-quality 3D digital pack renders, bottles, or digital mockups of racks and displays.
- Motion/animation capabilities
