Production Designer Jobs in Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area at IMH Fragrance
Job Purpose:
Under the guidance of creative leadership, the Production Designer will create
production-ready files for various packaging and market support items. Work may include
retouching and collaging images, applying artwork to dielines and laying out text. Proficiency in
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented
and experienced designer with a strong eye for layout, typography, color and composition. The
Production Designer will also be responsible for sending production files to vendors, working
through any issues that may arise and owning a project through all stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, interpret, and implement direction and feedback from the Creative Director.
- Solve design challenges while maintaining a high level of technical precision and attention to detail.
- Create production-ready, commercially viable artwork using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Interpret and apply approved templates, style guides, and brand standards to ensure consistency.
- Organize and accurately name files, colors, layers, and other production assets.
- Participate in department meetings to discuss processes, project status, and workflow priorities.
- Adhere to production schedules while effectively managing time and prioritizing daily workload.
- Apply technical expertise to create, prepare, and release production-ready files.
- Manage multiple design projects and product lines with varying deadlines and priorities.
- Adapt effectively to changing priorities and evolving project requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with domestic and overseas vendors, providing artwork, revisions, and final approvals as needed.
- Manage and maintain a manual Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, ensuring accurate product data, version control, and documentation throughout the product development process.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to create accurate production-ready mechanical files
- Knowledge of print production
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Knowledge of photo retouching, editing and collaging
- Multitask across large, complicated projects

Qualifications / Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 2-5 years work experience as a production designer
- A portfolio of relevant and impactful work (Required)
