Product Stylist (Freelance) — Oh My Mahjong Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) Area
Oh My Mahjong is looking for a creative, detail-obsessed Product Stylist to bring our brand to life through beautifully curated imagery. If you have a formal background in photo styling and a natural eye for editorial storytelling with a playful, polished edge — we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role This is a freelance position requiring 3–5 days per month, supporting a mix of editorial and product shoots. The role is highly independent — you'll be responsible for concepting, planning, and executing each shoot from start to finish, while our team provides the product. We're looking for someone who brings a genuine creative vision and doesn't need to be handed a blueprint to deliver stunning results.
What You'll Do
- Own the creative direction of shoots from concept to execution
- Develop mood boards, shot lists, and original styling concepts
- Source props and build out full scenes that align with our brand aesthetic
- Style products for e-commerce, campaigns, and editorial shoots
- Ensure every detail — from color balance to prop placement — is thoughtfully considered
- Deliver polished, cohesive visuals with minimal oversight
What We're Looking For
- A formal background in photo styling — this is a creative role that requires real craft and training
- A strong, elevated aesthetic with a natural ability to tell a visual story
- Proven experience in product styling (portfolio required)
- Highly creative and self-directed — you bring ideas to the table, not just execution
- Ability to move fluidly between clean product shots and layered, editorial moments
- Must know how to play American Mahjong (non-negotiable)
- Based in the DFW area and available for in-person shoots
- Organized, collaborative, and efficient on shoot days
Compensation
Pay is based on experience.
