Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Development / Design hybrid to support the development and execution of seasonal collections from concept through development. This role works closely with tech design, design, raw materials, PD and external vendors to ensure design intent is maintained while timelines, materials, and deliverables stay on track.
This person will own specific design groups, manage fabric coordination and ordering, and maintain accurate seasonal documentation across line sheets, CADs, and development tools.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Fabric Management
- Fabric organization and tracking for seasonal collections
- Request, order, and manage fabric POs in collaboration with Director
- Coordinate fabric deliveries and ensure materials are routed correctly (sampling, vendors, factories, internal teams)
- Maintain accurate fabric libraries, approvals, and seasonal fabric logs
- Assist to track fabric usage across styles to ensure alignment with costing and production needs
Design Support & Ownership
- Own specific design categories or groups from development through bulk
- Update and maintain sketches, CADs, and design revisions throughout the season
- Support the design team with concept development, updates, and revisions as styles evolve
- Ensure design intent is clearly communicated through CADs, line sheets, and development documentation
Seasonal Documentation & Line Sheets
- Create, update, and maintain seasonal line sheets
- Track style changes, fabric updates, and design revisions in real time
- Ensure line sheets remain accurate and aligned with development and tech design status
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a key liaison between Design, Product Development, Production, and vendors
- Communicate updates clearly across teams to ensure alignment on timing, materials, and changes
- Help identify and flag potential issues with fabrics, timelines, or development early
Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience in fashion design, product development, or a hybrid role
- Strong understanding of the apparel development process from concept through production
- Experience managing fabrics, trims, and POs
- Proficiency in Procreate, Adobe Suite (CADs), Excel and line sheet management (Google Live)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling multiple design groups and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
