Overview

Product Designer – Apparel Jobs in Toronto, Canada at Q for Quinn

At Q for Quinn, we make everyday organic basics with intention. What started with a focus on better basics for babies and kids has grown into a brand grounded in quality, transparency, and thoughtful design for all ages. We work with natural, sustainable materials and trusted manufacturing partners to create products that feel as good as they look, pieces people reach for daily, and keep.

We believe in doing things the right way: fewer, better products, made to last.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer who knows how to bring ideas to life; someone who understands not just how something should look, but how it should feel, fit, and function in the real world.

This role sits at the intersection of design, technical execution, and brand storytelling. You’ll be hands‑on from concept through to final production, shaping pieces that are thoughtful, intentional, and built to last.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and development of products from initial concept through to production
  • Translate creative direction into tangible designs, balancing aesthetics with functionality
  • Create detailed technical packages (tech packs), including measurements, materials, and construction details
  • Work closely with pattern makers and manufacturers to ensure accuracy, fit, and quality
  • Oversee fittings and iterate on designs based on feedback and wear testing
  • Source fabrics, trims, and materials aligned with the brand’s standards and vision
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Maintain consistency across product lines while pushing the brand forward

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in a similar product design role (fashion, apparel, or related field)
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, materials, and production processes
  • Solid experience with pattern making and an understanding of fit and form
  • Ability to create clear, detailed, and production‑ready tech packs
  • A sharp eye for detail and a deep appreciation for quality and craftsmanship
  • Strong problem‑solving skills – you know how to troubleshoot and refine, not just design
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Bonus If You Also Have

  • Experience with brand design, visual identity, or creative direction
  • A strong sense of color theory and palette development
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) or similar tools
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers or production partners

Who You Are

You care about the details—the ones most people miss. You think in both concepts and construction. You’re just as comfortable sketching an idea as you are refining a spec sheet. You don’t chase trends; you build pieces with purpose. And above all, you want to create work that feels considered, not disposable.

Why Join Us

We’re building something intentional. Every product we create is an extension of our values—quality, simplicity, and meaning. If that resonates with you, you’ll feel at home here.
