Producer, Content Jobs in New York, United States at Wavytalk

About Wavytalk

Wavytalk is a fast-growing hair tools brand built on creativity, community, and self-expression. As the #1 hair tools brand on TikTok, we've built our business through a digital-first, content-driven approach — creating products and moments that resonate with a new generation of consumers.

We design intuitive, high-performance tools that make styling effortless while protecting hair health. As we continue to scale, we have expanded into key retail partners like Target and Ulta, bringing our viral, community-led brand into physical spaces nationwide. We are also expanding into adjacent beauty tools to further support our community's self-expression across their full routine.

Role Overview

We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Producer to join our in-house content team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Senior Content Producer to bring creative ideas to life — from brainstorming and pre-production through to shoot execution, onset directing and post-production review. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is eager to grow within a content-first brand. This role is a hybrid role requiring 4 days in per week in office.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Ideation

  • Brainstorm and contribute ideas for new projects and support the ideation and execution of in-house content.
  • Stay on top of trending and top-performing content to inform new strategies and creative concepts.

Production Support

  • Support the Senior Content Producer in all logistical aspects of in-house production.
  • Assist in the organization and creation of all necessary production materials, including shot lists, schedules, scripts, and creative briefs.
  • Ensure all team members are kept informed of any changes to the schedule, location, or project requirements in a timely manner.
  • Document and track production progress, maintaining accurate records and managing files for easy reference.

Talent Sourcing

  • Identify and source on-camera talent that aligns with Wavytalk's brand aesthetic and content goals.
  • Coordinate talent outreach, availability, and logistics ahead of scheduled shoots.
  • Maintain and organize a talent database, tracking past and potential collaborators.
  • Liaise with talent (and their representatives where applicable) to ensure all agreements, rates, and usage rights are confirmed prior to production.

Prop Sourcing

  • Research, source, and procure props, set dressing, and wardrobe items needed for shoots.
  • Manage prop inventory, including tracking, organizing, and returning items as needed.
  • Work within budget parameters to source materials efficiently and creatively.
  • Prep all props and products ahead of shoot days to ensure sets are camera-ready.

On-Set Directing

  • Direct on-set talent, providing clear, confident guidance to ensure performances align with the creative vision.
  • Ensure the shot list is executed efficiently and all required content is captured within the shoot window.
  • Maintain energy and momentum on set, keeping the crew and talent on schedule.
  • Independently manage and direct smaller-scale content shoots from setup through wrap.

Shoot Coordination

  • Ensure day-to-day shoots run smoothly by adhering to the schedule and proactively solving any on-set challenges.
  • Prep sets for daily shoots, ensuring propping, set dressing, wardrobe, and product are all ready before the camera rolls.
  • Communicate any last-minute changes clearly and calmly to all relevant team members.

Post-Production

  • Assist in post-production review and provide timely, constructive feedback as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in content production, video production, or a related field (internship experience welcome).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A genuine passion for content creation, social media, and beauty or lifestyle brands.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms — especially TikTok and Instagram — and an understanding of what makes content perform.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Experience on set (even in a support capacity).
  • Must be willing to come in to the office 4 days a week.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $70,000 – $78,000

Health, dental, and vision coverage, 401k — because your well-being is non-negotiable, not a nice-to-have.

Paid maternity and paternity leave — take the time you need to be present for what matters most, fully supported.

Employee product discount — obsess over what you sell, and actually get to enjoy it too.

Grow fast with a brand that's scaling even faster — your next title isn't years away; it's a great idea away.

A culture where creativity isn't just welcomed — it's expected — bring your weirdest ideas, your boldest opinions, and your whole self.
