About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage
5), delivering engaging lessons in drama, dance, and/or musical theatre.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality performing arts lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Prepare students for performances, showcases, and examinations
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions, clubs, and workshops
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the performing arts curriculum
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Experience directing or producing performances is desirable
