Paramount Consumer Products manages licensing, product development and partner support across a wide portfolio of brands, including PAW Patrol, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Garfield, Avatar, Star Trek, MTV, Comedy Central, CBS and Paramount Pictures.

What will you be doing?

As a Product Designer, you’ll support the development of products across categories such as apparel, accessories, footwear, home, back to school and seasonal. You’ll take work from early concepts through to production, focusing on North Europe (including CEE, Benelux and the Nordics). You’ll work with colleagues and external partners to help deliver products that meet brand guidelines and respond to customer and market needs.

  • Coordinate day-to-day product approvals across multiple categories, from concept through to production, with a focus on North Europe.
  • Share design guidance and constructive feedback with licensees to help maintain brand values and product quality.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support practical, achievable design solutions.
  • Support business and retail teams by creating design presentations tailored to each audience and goal.
  • Research, develop and deliver original creative projects as needed, including identifying where new assets may be required.
  • Create tools and guidance to make the product development process easier (for example, training documents and brand overviews), shaped to regional needs.
  • Work with Account Managers and the BALA team to help ensure product development follows the terms set out in contracts.
  • Stay up to date with creative trends and product development, and help spot new category opportunities.
  • Research consumer and competitor trends to inform design direction and highlight regional insights and gaps.
  • Manage samples, including coordinating and sharing a selection of products for trade shows, partner meetings and PR activity.
  • Look for ways to improve creative development and try new approaches that lead to strong, brand-right products
  • Represent the creative perspective in key meetings, including retail meetings and partner days.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree, technical college qualification, or equivalent experience in a design or product-related field.
  • Experience working in product development (ideally within a licensing environment).
  • A good understanding of the licensing industry, including contracts and agreements.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in kids’ product development is a plus.
  • Experience working on retail design and partnering closely with retailers is a plus.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
  • Good judgement and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work calmly to deadlines.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and a positive way of working.
  • Flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • A collaborative team approach and responsiveness to requests.
  • Creative confidence and an interest in trends and product development.
  • Ability to find creative, practical solutions to product development challenges.
