Position: Part-Time Art History Professor – Fall 2026
The University of Ottawa is seeking a Part-Time Professor for Art after Modernism in Fall 2026. Share your expertise in art history covering the 1960s and 1970s.

This position involves teaching a course that explores artistic practices from 1945 to 1978. A Ph.D. in History of Art or equivalent, along with teaching experience at the post-secondary level, is required. You will engage with up to 60 students during scheduled classes on Tuesdays from 14:30 to 17:30.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Art after Modernism:  to students

• Prepare and deliver engaging course content

• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback

• Conduct research in related art disciplines

• Maintain academic records and administrative duties

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in History of Art or equivalent

• Record of publications in relevant fields
