Role Description
At Bloom, sales is more than just moving product—it’s how we build strategic partnerships, expand market share, and bring our brand to life across the country. As National VP of Sales, you will lead Bloom’s national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding our presence across key markets nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Bloom wins at retail and with strategic accounts, while building the systems, teams, and processes that support sustainable growth.
In this role, you will own national sales performance across all markets, overseeing revenue planning, forecasting, key account development, and field execution. You will lead our Regional Sales Managers in setting revenue targets, market priorities, and execution plans that deliver against company goals. In partnership with the CMO and Creative Director, you will help ensure Bloom’s sales strategy and brand presence are aligned, creating programs that drive sell-through, customer loyalty, and market expansion.
This is a high-impact executive leadership role with the opportunity to define national sales excellence and make a meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving industry.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience within a retail brand, CPG, or adjacent consumer industry environment.
- 5+ years of experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing sales organizations across multiple markets or regions.
- Proven track record of consistently driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, and increasing market share.
- Strong experience in national account management, sales forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional sales planning and execution with marketing and other internal stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with experience recruiting and retaining top sales talent.
- Strong existing relationships across retail, MSO, distributor, or other strategic channel partners preferred.
- Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance reporting.
- Willingness to travel frequently and engage in fieldwork as needed to support the business.
- CPG sales experience required; cannabis experience not required but strongly preferred.
- Must be located in NYC, Chicago, or California (Los Angeles or San Francisco).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy that drives revenue growth, market expansion, and increased sales velocity across all channels and markets.
- Own and deliver against national revenue targets, including annual sales planning, quota setting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Engage regularly with Bloom’s top strategic customers and partners to strengthen relationships, unlock growth opportunities, and support retention and expansion.
- Lead national account strategy across key retail partners, MSOs, and distributor relationships, ensuring strong execution and long-term value creation.
- Oversee demand forecasting and sales planning across all markets to support inventory alignment, supply chain efficiency, and profitable growth.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Creative to develop sales programs and promotional initiatives that improve sell-through and strengthen brand presence at retail.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing national sales organization, building a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Establish sales processes, KPIs, reporting cadences, and operating standards to improve visibility, consistency, and execution across regions.
- Set and manage regional and national sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong return on investment.
- Analyze market conditions, customer trends, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
- Identify, implement, and optimize sales tools and systems, including CRM platforms, to improve pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and team productivity.
- Conduct regular field engagement and market visits to support key customers, coach team members, and ensure execution aligns with company priorities.
- Support new market launches, product launches, and national account initiatives in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Help foster a strong team culture through leadership, communication, coaching, and both in-person and digital engagement opportunities.
