The Opportunity
We are looking for a creative and efficient Video Editor & Graphic Designer to power our YouTube content pipeline. This role is a hybrid of high-level storytelling and visual marketing, focusing on editing polished long-form interviews and designing high-click-through-rate thumbnails. If you have a sharp editorial eye for pacing and the design chops to make content pop on a crowded feed, you will thrive in this remote, fast-paced environment.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Long-Form Editing: Execute seamless, “invisible” edits for interview content, including multi-camera switching, audio cleanup, and pacing optimization.
- Thumbnail Design: Create high-performing YouTube thumbnails and social assets using advanced layout, lighting, and composition techniques to drive engagement.
- Social Clip Creation: Package and optimize vertical video clips (Shorts, Reels, TikToks) using provided timestamps and captions.
- On-Screen Enhancements: Integrate lower-thirds, text overlays, and basic motion graphics to enhance the viewer experience.
- Image Manipulation: Perform professional-grade color correction, cutouts, and background cleanup for all visual assets.
- Asset Management: Maintain organized project files and media libraries to ensure efficient workflows and easy retrieval.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistent polish, branding, and technical quality across all video episodes and social platforms.
What You Bring
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve with a focus on multi-cam workflows.
- Design Skills: Advanced Adobe Photoshop skills with a proven ability to create compelling, high-standard YouTube thumbnails.
- Audio Proficiency: Strong understanding of audio cleanup and basic sound mixing to ensure professional broadcast quality.
- Visual Instincts: A deep understanding of image manipulation, including cutouts, background removal, and color correction.
- Detail Orientation: High attention to detail and excellent file management habits when handling large volumes of footage.
- Efficiency: The ability to work within a high-output production schedule while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic.
Bonus Points if:
- You have specific experience editing YouTube interviews or podcast-style content.
- You have basic skills in Adobe After Effects or motion graphics.
- You are familiar with YouTube Studio and frame.io for feedback and publishing.
