Job Title: Multi-Media Content Producer

Organization: Explore Hocking Hills (Hocking Hills Tourism Association)

Location: Logan, Ohio (Hybrid optional; On-site 3 days minimum)

Reports to: Executive Director

Classification: Full-time / Exempt

Position Summary

The Multi-media Content Manager is responsible for producing, planning, designing, 

editing, creating, and scheduling content on social media, blogs, podcasts and for 

traditional media including radio, television and print across all Explore Hocking Hills’ 

channels and platforms, including and not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and 

Pinterest.

This position will also create and produce photos, videos and blogs with a local 

perspective that appeals to both local and national audiences by identified target 

market(s), inspiring responsible tourism and uplifting Appalachian arts and culture.

This role focuses heavily on short-form video, including Reels and other video content, and

works closely with the Executive Director and Stewardship team to collaborate on 

storytelling that supports sustainability messaging.

The position also plays a key role in collecting and organizing visual assets for use by our 

Agency of Record (AOR) and creating and updating our online media center.

This role ensures consistent branding, seamless communication between internal teams 

and the agency, and effective deployment of marketing strategies that enhance the 

Hocking Hills brand as Ohio’s premier travel destination.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Collaboration

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with overall marketing goals

• Provide creative input and insights on content performance, trends, and platform

• Support campaign planning, seasonal initiatives, and promotional priorities through 

Content Creation & Storytelling

• Create engaging short-form and long-form video content, including Instagram Reels. 

Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platform-specific videos as well as long-form 

documentaries and welcome center videos

• Capture photo and video content throughout the Hocking Hills region, including

events, attractions, outdoor experiences, and member and partner businesses 

• Edit videos for social media using platform-native tools and/or third-party editing

software

• Stay current on social media trends, audio, and best practices to maximize reach and 

engagement

• Graphic design familiarity preferred.

• Comfort supporting A/V and IT related to visual communications a plus

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related fields or comparable work experience

(Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Production / Film / Video, Digital Media or 

Content Creation 

Preferred (but not required):

Specialized coursework or certification in: Social Media Marketing, Video Production / 

Editing, Photography / Visual Storytelling, SEO / Content Marketing 

Experience Requirements

3–5+ years of professional experience in: Content creation (video, photo, blogs, social 

media); Social media management across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, 

etc.); Digital marketing or content marketing

Tourism / Lifestyle / Regional Storytelling (Preferred) Experience in one or more: 

• Tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing 

• Outdoor recreation or nature-based storytelling 

• Arts, culture, or community-based content

Additional Preferred Skills

• Basic graphic design skills familiarity (Canva, Adobe, etc.) 

• Familiarity with Podcast production (recording/editing) 

• Website CMS platforms (WordPress or similar) 

• Comfort with A/V setup and light technical troubleshooting
