Who are you?
- You have 5 to 8 years of graphic design experience.
- You’re looking for a role that will allow you to touch a lot of different brands across many different industries and bring your branding and design vibes to all the projects.
- You have a really solid approach to design: you know how to inspire yourself, you know how to manage your time and you are agile with client feedback – making sure you deliver work you’re proud of every day.
- You know how to talk design – you can justify design decisions, build epic moodboards that convey exciting ideas and are happy to talk others through your thinking.
- You like variety, the idea of working on three different projects in one day excites you – and even though you're into the diversity and flexibility – you balance that by always following through. Nothing drops off your to-do list.
- You can design across multiple formats – client needs a brochure? You got it. Client wants an email designed? Easy. Client wants to create an animated gif for their website? Sweet.
- Your design is centered around the user – you love thinking about the customer, and what their journey looks like and how your design work helps create the best possible experience.
- You are really comfortable working within defined brand guidelines, but you’re also excited about being able to build a brand from the ground up.
- You’re a nerd for a good brief like we are. We know that amazing work comes from an amazing brief, and you’re able to take a brief and respond with inspiring, on-brand design (and if the brief isn’t clear, you’re someone who will ask for more info).
- You want to work with (and learn from) inspiring marketers and event producers with lots of experience.
- You want to be part of a team with other fun, interesting, creative people. You have memes to post in our team Slack channel, and like celebrating shared success.
- You are great at communicating – you don't waffle but you do articulate clearly and succinctly. People understand what you're saying.

What is the job?
- Reporting in to the Managing Director, you will be our inhouse graphic designer, helping to deliver great work for our clients and also for BEA.
- You will provide graphic design and creative support for our marketing work (strategies, social media, emails, brand identity, campaign creatives), and our event production projects (event branding, creative ideas and moodboards, collaterals).
- You’ll also help keep the whole BEAhive looking beautiful – making sure presentations, templates and team work always looks chefs kiss!
- Your days will be varied, some days you’ll be deep in creative thinking for proposals, then jumping into designing an email or a social post for a client, then putting together creative concepts for a brand or a campaign.
- You'll happily work within our beautiful systems and processes, keeping information and projects organised and on track.
- This role is initially a 9 month parental leave contract while our amazing designer has her bebe. For the right person, there’s an opportunity at the end of the contract to become a permanent part of our team.

Requirements
- Design qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in design roles.
- Expert capability in design software: Adobe Creative Suite [photoshop, illustrator, indesign] as well as other platforms like Figma, Miro etc.
- Strong communication skills: presentation, copy writing and verbal.
- Rights to work in Australia.
