Merchandising Production Designer Jobs in New York City Metropolitan Area at Solomon Page
We are hiring a Merchandising Production Designer to join a top beauty company in NYC. This freelance role will run for 3 months with potential to extend and will be hybrid in their NYC office.
- Pay Rate: $34/HR
Responsibilities:
- Take Art Director-approved designs and translate them into pre-production artwork, adapting and resizing across all permanent merchandising formats and sizes to ensure consistency prior to mechanical house handoff
- Simple layout & bullnose design
- Organize and maintain assets within a shared “cloud” server environment
- Mechanical production and file preparation for handoff to external vendors
- ???Support retouching, color matching, and print proof review in alignment with layout requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud — InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
- A strong background in print
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong sense of visual style across design, typography, and photography
- Accustomed to working with Art Directors to execute print artwork
- Proven ability to manage production timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Beauty or consumer goods retail industry experience preferred
