We’re partnering with a major regional organisation to recruit a talented Multimedia & Graphic Designer to join a dynamic Governance & Design team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created role and shape the creative direction of key communication and engagement initiatives that impact diverse communities across the region.
Full‑time, up to 38 hrs/week
$69.21–$75.09/hr + super | 12‑month contract with potential extension for another 24 months
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative design team producing high‑impact visual content. You’ll:
- Develop high‑quality creative assets across animation, motion graphics, video, photography, and graphic design
- Create digital communication materials including maps, presentations, social media content, ads, and stakeholder‑facing visuals
- Translate complex information into clear, engaging visual stories
- Support traditional print design needs like brochures, newsletters and publications
- Provide expert advice on multimedia, digital design, animation and videography
- Ensure all outputs meet accessibility standards and brand guidelines
- Manage multiple design projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborate with internal clients, stakeholders and subject matter experts
What You Bring
We're looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ experience in graphic design, digital design, multimedia, animation and videography
- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or similar
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Animate
- A strong portfolio of contemporary digital and motion design work
- Experience developing and editing video content for digital channels
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
- Experience working within brand guidelines
Desirable
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility principles
- Experience using workflow/project tools like Asana
- Experience in large, structured environments or government‑style processes
