Your role within the team
The Marketing Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of all creative, design, packaging, and marketing projects with our internal marketing team and external agencies. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope without compromising the quality of deliverables.
Duties and responsibilities
Project Planning & Organization
- Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Work with various departments (e.g., creative, product development, regulatory, legal, operations, sales) to ensure alignment and successful execution of project plans and timelines.
- Break down projects into actionable tasks and assign resources to maximize efficiency.
- Use Monday.com to organize workflows, manage deadlines, dependencies, and progress tracking.
- Ensure alignment between shopper marketing initiatives and creative execution, supporting in-store, eCommerce, and omnichannel campaigns.
- Integrate digital-first project planning into workflows, ensuring assets are optimized for online retail, paid media, and retailer platforms.
Traffic & Workflow Management
- Open new jobs by collecting necessary materials (creative briefs, assets, etc.) and entering them into the system.
- Assign resources based on project priorities and requirements.
- Oversee the monitoring of day-to-day progress to ensure projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
- Oversee the approval coordination for each project
- Oversee the routing of creative assets through ProofHub for review and approval.
- Oversee the management of feedback cycles, ensuring all comments and revisions are documented.
- Enforce proper approval processes before assets progress to the next stage, ensuring quality control.
- Partner closely with creative design and shopper marketing teams to manage asset development from brief through final delivery.
- Manage workflows across integrated marketing channels, including retail, digital, and shopper-facing touchpoints.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact between creative teams and internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee the coordination of handoffs, updates, and feedback discussions across departments.
- Address roadblocks or scope changes and resolve conflicts through proactive communication and collaboration.
- Act as a key liaison between creative, shopper marketing, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams to ensure shopper-driven insights are effectively translated into creative output.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project status using Monday.com dashboards to identify bottlenecks or delays.
- Identify and resolve project issues and challenges proactively.
- Generate regular status reports and recommend workflow improvements.
- Ensure ongoing alignment between project goals and broader business objectives.
- Monitor progress of shopper marketing and digital campaigns, ensuring deliverables meet key retailer and consumer engagement milestones.
Quality Control & Archiving
- Review final deliverables to ensure they meet creative and brand standards.
- Ensure marketing DAM and repositories are maintained and up to date for cross functional business uses.
- Archive completed projects for future access, reference, or reuse.
Leadership
- Mentors and guides team members to help contribute to the overall team’s growth and productivity.
- Motivates creative teams while balancing artistic freedom with business constraints.
- Decision-making skills to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively under pressure.
- Mentor the Project Management Coordinator to help with their professional growth goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5 years of project management experience, specifically within marketing teams in the FMCG/CPG industry.
- Understanding of creative processes such as graphic design, packaging design, branding, and marketing campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working within a PMO or highly structured project management environment, supporting both creative and shopper marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of shopper marketing principles, including retail activation, path-to-purchase, and omnichannel execution.
- Experience managing projects across digital channels, including eCommerce, paid media, and retailer platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, etc.).
- Background supporting or partnering with creative design teams, with an understanding of design workflows and asset development processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with experience overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in project management platforms such as Monday.com and ProofHub (preferred).
- Skilled in using dashboards and reporting tools to monitor progress and communicate updates.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Clear, diplomatic communicator with a demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders and facilitate feedback loops.
Local employees will be required to come into the office 3 days/ week. Non-local employees will be required to travel up to 15%
