Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Social Media Management (HK & China Markets)
- YouTube Production: Develop, script, film, and perform simple editing for engaging video content for our YouTube channel, managing the production process independently from ideation to final upload.
- Daily Management: Manage posting schedules for Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, and XiaoHongShu (Red).
- Visuals & Copy: Create engaging captions and on-brand visuals adapted to the specific culture of each platform.
- Trend Watching: Keep an eye on trending topics (especially across Google and Meta platforms) and suggest quick content ideas to the team.
- Community Engagement: Monitor comments and messages, engaging with our audience promptly to build community and trust.
- Project Management & Copywriting
- Independent Execution: Handle marketing projects autonomously, liaising with internal teams and external vendors (printers, agencies) to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Article Drafting: Draft and edit blog posts and promotional copy based on topics provided by the Department Head.
- Localization: Assist in adapting content between English, Traditional Chinese (HK tone), and Simplified Chinese (Mainland tone).
- Proofreading: Ensure all marketing materials are free of typos and grammatical errors before publishing.
- Departmental Administration & Support
- Admin Duties: Handle invoice processing, expense reimbursement, data entry, and filing for the marketing department.
- Reporting: Compile monthly data reports (e.g., social media follower growth, post engagement) for management review.
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for general marketing inquiries via email or social messaging.
Requirements
- Residency: Hong Kong permanent resident or valid work permit holder.
- Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant marketing experience, ideally with proven experience in YouTube channel content creation and independent project management.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Cantonese and English. Strong Written Chinese proficiency is essential: Must be comfortable writing in both Traditional Chinese (for HK) and Simplified Chinese (for WeChat/XHS).
- Tech Savvy: Experience with simple video editing using Canva, CapCut, or equivalent tools for YouTube production; hands-on experience with social media back-end tools (Meta Business Suite, XiaoHongShu App); basic graphic design skills (Canva or Photoshop) are highly preferred; and proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Adaptable: Comfortable switching between administrative tasks and creative content creation.
- Detail-Oriented: Able to handle administrative paperwork with high accuracy.
- Team Player: Outgoing, proactive, and willing to support the team during events or busy periods.
