The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity to take full ownership of the All Good Bananas brand as our Marketing Executive.

Based in Auckland (with flexibility for some work-from-home) and reporting directly to the General Manager (based in Wellington), you will be the sole marketing person on the ground. This means you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, responsibility and direct impact on the brand's success. You will work alongside the awesome All Good plant-milk team in the Grey Lynn office.

You will be responsible for leading the execution of our marketing strategy across both consumer and trade channels, with the goal of driving brand awareness, increasing consumer loyalty, and strengthening trade engagement. Your efforts will be crucial in growing market share and enhancing our community presence.

We're looking for a driven individual who is ready to fully own marketing initiatives. You'll be completely at home in the digital world, adept at finding and exciting our audience on mobile platforms, but you must also possess the ability to build strong in-person relationships and effectively support our trade customers in-store. You will work closely with the General Manager and our external partners to achieve our goals.

This is a largely autonomous role for a self-motivated Marketing Executive who is confident in their own judgment and passionate about building a purpose-driven brand. You will drive the full marketing mix for All Good Bananas, from high-level strategy setting alongside the General Manager to full day-to-day execution. This includes:

  • Developing and executing consumer campaigns.
  • Managing organic and paid social media, content, and email marketing.
  • Overseeing trade marketing, in-store activations, and retailer relationships.
  • Managing external agencies and partners.
  • Tracking performance data, generating insights, and contributing to the brand's sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consumer Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute the NZ marketing plan, focusing on loyalty-building initiatives, organic and paid social media, influencer collaborations, PR, and key customer promotions.
  • Campaign Management: Lead campaign planning in collaboration with our trade customers, ensuring impactful storytelling and brand alignment.
  • Content & Digital Ownership: Oversee content creation (including briefing creative assets), and own the content strategy for all-good.co.nz and email marketing, ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Social Media: Lead social content planning, manage the content calendar, write post captions, drive community engagement, and provide monthly performance reporting.
  • Community & Sponsorship: Develop and execute community and sponsorship strategies, including representing All Good at schools and industry events.
  • Performance & Budget: Track and analyse marketing activity, including grocery scan data, to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Assist the GM in managing the local marketing budget and external agencies.
  • Sustainability: Contribute to and lead the execution of the company's sustainability strategy.

2. Trade Marketing & Retail Activation

  • Retail Presence: Strengthen brand visibility by managing POS material production, in-store activations, and trade event planning.
  • Trade Relationships: Develop strong relationships with supermarket produce managers and independent retailers to maximise promotional and sales opportunities.
  • In-Store Promotions: Plan and ensure seamless execution of in-store consumer sampling events. Identify and implement bespoke in-store promotions to enhance brand presence and encourage trial.
  • Trade Support: Provide marketing support for trade partnerships and key accounts, positioning All Good Bananas as a preferred supplier.

3. Relationships

  • Develop and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including T&G Fresh, Foodstuffs, Fairtrade NZ, our growers, and our key customers.

4. Skills, Experience & Education

  • Experience: 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally within FMCG, food & beverage, or a related industry.
  • Digital Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, and community engagement. Experience with Shopify and Klaviyo (or equivalents) is a bonus.
  • Core Skills: Proven experience in campaign execution, content creation, and trade marketing.
  • Creative Edge: Content creation skills (design, copy-writing, videography, or photography) are a significant advantage, as content is a vital part of this role.  We’ll be keen for you to use any creative juices you have. 
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyse marketing & sales performance data, including grocery scan data, and provide actionable insights.
  • Values Alignment: A genuine passion for ethical business, sustainability, and community-driven marketing.

Drive & Ownership: Ability to self-manage – this role is what you make of it – we’ll be looking for you to take ownership of the marketing – identifying ways we can build the brand, and drive the excitement of consumers.  We’re looking for someone creative and driven.
