Overview

Marketing Content Creator & Coordinator Jobs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at Wingstop Canada (JPK Capital)

About the Role

At Wingstop, we’re not just in the business of chicken — we’re in the business of flavour and culture. With 20 stores open today and Alberta expansion on the horizon, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Marketing Content Creator & Coordinator to join our team — an emerging marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, brand-forward environment.

You’ll work alongside our Social Media & Influencer Manager to bring the Wingstop brand to life online — producing content, supporting campaigns, and engaging our community across platforms. You’ll also be on the ground at store openings and activations, capturing the moments that make the best social content.

We’re a small team building something ambitious. Everyone here wears multiple hats, and the shape of your role will evolve as the business grows — if that’s exciting rather than unsettling, you’ll thrive.

This role reports to the Social Media & Influencer Manager.

What You’ll Own

Social Media Support (approx. 50%)

  • Support the execution of the organic social media strategy across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), under the direction of the Social Media & Influencer Manager
  • Help maintain and update the content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments
  • Produce content that is platform-native, on-brand, and trend-aware — including filming, copywriting, and light asset coordination — informed by brand voice/tone guidelines
  • Monitor trends and flag reactive content opportunities for the team to act on quickly
  • Track and compile monthly social performance reports (engagement, growth, sentiment) and surface key insights

Content Capture at Events & Openings (approx. 30%)

  • Be on the ground at grand openings, activations, and brand moments — capturing footage, stills, and real-time content for social channels
  • Produce quick-turn content during and after events — cuts for TikTok/Reels, behind-the-scenes captures, recap content — that brings each moment to life across platforms
  • Contribute to post-campaign recaps by gathering content, data, and summarising performance
  • Note: in the interim, until the Brand Activation & Production Coordinator is hired, you may also help with event logistics and on-site coordination. Once that role is in seat, your focus at events shifts to content

Community & Brand Engagement (approx. 20%)

  • Own day-to-day community management across social channels — responding to comments and DMs in a consistent and engaging brand voice
  • Monitor brand sentiment and flag notable feedback, trends, or opportunities to the broader team
  • Assist in coordinating with influencer and creator partners to amplify campaigns and content
  • Stay plugged in to food, culture, and social trends relevant to our brand and audience

Who You Are

  • Digital Native: You live and breathe social media, especially TikTok and Instagram. You know how to make content be engaging and go viral.
  • Culturally Connected: Deep knowledge of what’s hot in music, sports, fashion, and internet culture.
  • Creative Experience: Experience in a creative or activation agency, or at a youth-oriented brand (e.g., sneakers, streetwear, music, gaming etc.)
  • Action-Oriented: Follow through without being chased — when you take something on, it gets done. You proactively surface progress, flag risks early with a plan, and own outcomes rather than just tasks. You don’t wait to be asked for updates
  • Collaborative: You work well with others and can inspire teams and partners.
  • Bold & Decisive: You’re not afraid to take risks and have a strong point of view on what’s cool.
  • Organized & Reliable: You can juggle multiple projects and deliver on tight timelines.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–3 years of experience in communications or marketing with an emphasis on social media and community engagement in a business setting
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms, with demonstrated experience in content development including writing for digital media
  • Sharp copywriting skills with a distinct sense of tone and humour
  • Deep understanding of gen z culture, trends, and social-first behaviour
  • Comfortable operating at pace and handling multiple priorities, while maintaining strong brand judgment
  • Comfortable operating flexible hours—while most work can be completed during standard business hours, occasional evenings and weekends may be required for key moments when stores are at their busiest and content opportunities are strongest.

Work Location & Travel

  • Toronto-based hybrid — 4 days in office, WFH Fridays
  • Travel 20–30% across Canada

Compensation range: $55,000-$65,000 + benefits
