MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead and coordinate the resort’s marketing communications strategy and initiatives, reporting to the Director of Sales, Fiji, and Regional Communications Leadership. The role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communication plans across all business units, ensuring alignment with Shangri-La brand standards, commercial objectives, and regional direction. The successful candidate will play a key role in positioning Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji as a leading holiday destination through strategic storytelling, digital engagement, brand partnerships, media relations, and innovative campaign development.
Working collaboratively with Sales, Revenue, Operations, and Regional Marketing teams, the Manager will drive brand visibility, guest engagement, and revenue growth. As a strong communicator and relationship builder, the role will foster effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, media, agencies, and external collaborators, while providing leadership within the communications function to support the overall commercial and brand objectives of the resort.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably within hospitality or luxury brand environments.
· Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns.
· Print and digital design experience using Canva, InDesign, Publisher, or similar platforms.
· Photography and videography skills, including content creation and editing.
· Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, website CMS platforms, and Google Analytics.
· Experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement is an advantage.
· Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and a highly responsible, self-motivated, creative, and results-driven approach.
