Lead Creative Strategist (Performance Marketing)

Location: 100% Remote (Open to LATAM & South Africa)

Compensation: $2,000 – $3,000 USD per month (based on experience)

Contract Type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly execution-focused Lead Creative Strategist who thrives at the intersection of performance marketing and content production. This is not a “big ideas only” role — you will be the engine behind the creative testing pipeline, transforming trends and data into high-converting scripts and optimized short-form content.

You will bridge media buying insights with hands-on creative direction, ensuring every asset is designed for retention, engagement, and measurable sales impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trend Mining: Continuously analyze TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts to identify emerging hooks, formats, and creative patterns before they peak.
  • Scriptwriting & Storyboarding: Produce 20+ performance-driven hooks and scripts weekly for paid testing pipelines.
  • Technical Creative Direction: Provide detailed, frame-by-frame feedback to video editors, improving pacing, retention, captions, transitions, and overall direct-response impact.
  • Performance Feedback Loop: Collaborate closely with media buyers to analyze campaign results, identify winning and losing angles, and rapidly iterate new concepts.
  • Pipeline Ownership: Manage the creative workflow from ideation through production and handoff to the media buying team.

What Success Looks Like

  • High volume of structured creative tests launched consistently each month.
  • Clear understanding of why certain creatives win — and documented learnings applied to future tests.
  • Improved performance metrics (CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS).
  • Tight collaboration between creative and paid media teams.
  • Assets delivered on time, on-brand, and optimized for platform performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Performance Marketing or Creative Strategy.
  • Strong understanding of direct-response marketing and conversion-driven content.
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok and Meta platforms, including algorithm behavior and 9:16 creative best practices.
  • Technical literacy in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut) to provide actionable post-production feedback.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ownership mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
