Our client, Canada’s largest retailer, is seeking an Intermediate Digital Content Designer to crafting end-to-end product experiences, partnering closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Brand and Marketing teams to understand problems, collaborate on product direction, and contribute to customer-centred solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply & Evolve UX Content Standards
:
You’ll apply existing copy and UX writing standards to ensure clear, consistent, inclusive, and on-brand language across our client’s digital products. You’ll help teams deliver consistent, high-quality experiences by effectively utilizing established standards and contributing to their evolution.

Collaborate on Design Systems
:
You’ll collaborate with Product Designers to ensure UX writing standards are effectively integrated within our design standards and systems, reinforcing language as a core part of product design.

Maintain Content Quality: You’ll review UX writing and content to ensure adherence to established language quality and consistency across our digital products, providing feedback and seeking guidance as needed to maintain a high bar.

Hands-on Writing for Initiatives: You’ll design and write content for various initiatives, contributing language across end-to-end journeys from early concept through launch. You’ll craft clear, inclusive UX writing that supports user flows, states, errors, and edge cases, working closely with Product Design, Product, Engineering, and Research partners.

Must Haves:

Strong collaborative personality – will be working with multiple teams: UI Designer, marketing, potentially marketing products for other banners and divisions, as well as development pods and other business stakeholders for multiple digital products (not just website)

Detail-Oriented Content Contributor:
You understand the power of language as a design tool to shape product experiences. You are comfortable applying established standards and contributing effectively within complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Quality-Focused Practitioner:
You care deeply about quality, consistency, and accessibility, and you understand content’s role within a broader system.

Experience writing content for Retail / e-Comm domain
, preferably in a promotional capacity (Black Friday, Boxing Day promos etc.);
merchandising retail experience

Nice to Have:

SEO knowledge; being able to write content with an SEO lens; experience with Semrush
