Overview

In-House Video Producer & Digital Content Creator. Jobs in Eastbourne, England, United Kingdom at BONNERS MUSIC

Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex (Full-Time, On-Site)

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 per year, depending on experience, ability and portfolio.

Build the in-house video department of one of the UK's leading music retailers.

Are you passionate about creating content that people actually want to watch? Do you spend your spare time thinking about camera angles, editing techniques, eye-catching photography, YouTube thumbnails, Instagram Reels and how to tell a great story through video? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Bonners Music is one of the UK's leading piano, keyboard and guitar retailers, with four specialist showrooms across the country and a YouTube channel that reaches tens of thousands of musicians every month.

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic In-House Video Producer & Content Creator to help shape the future of our online presence. Working alongside our Managing Director, Tony White, you'll produce engaging video and social media content showcasing some of the world's leading musical instrument brands.

This is a rare opportunity to build our in-house video department and make a genuine impact on a growing business.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for producing engaging content from concept through to publication, including:

  • Filming piano, keyboard and guitar product demonstrations
  • Producing showroom tours and promotional videos
  • Recording artist performances, interviews and special events
  • Editing long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Taking high-quality product and lifestyle photographs
  • Creating eye-catching graphics and social media posts
  • Designing engaging YouTube thumbnails
  • Uploading, optimising and scheduling content across our social media channels
  • Helping to plan and maintain a consistent publishing schedule
  • Organising and managing our growing media library
  • Monitoring the performance of our content and contributing ideas for continual improvement
  • Working with manufacturers and visiting artists to produce exciting new content
  • Travelling occasionally to our showrooms in Surrey, Milton Keynes and Newcastle to film products, events and other content
  • Helping to develop new content ideas that grow our audience and support the continued success of Bonners

No two weeks are the same. One day you might be filming the launch of a flagship digital piano, the next creating social media content around a vintage guitar, recording a live artist performance or producing behind-the-scenes footage from one of our showrooms.

About you

We're far more interested in your creativity, enthusiasm and portfolio than the number of years on your CV.

Whether you've developed your skills through personal projects, freelance work, college, university or in a previous role, we'd love to see what you've created.

You'll ideally have:

  • A genuine passion for video production and content creation
  • Excellent filming and video editing skills
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software
  • A good eye for photography, composition and visual storytelling
  • A creative approach to social media
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working with presenters on camera
  • Happy to travel occasionally to our other showrooms and industry events when required
  • A full UK driving licence would be an advantage
  • A willingness to learn about pianos, keyboards and guitars

A passion for music would be a real advantage, but it's not essential.

Help us build something special

You'll be based in our dedicated in-house video studio at our Eastbourne headquarters, while also having the opportunity to create content in our specialist showrooms across the UK. From filming a flagship grand piano in Surrey to covering an artist event in Newcastle, you'll experience far more variety than a typical studio-based production role.

Our studio is already producing regular YouTube and social media content, but we believe it can become even better.

We're looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to help shape its future. You'll be encouraged to bring your own ideas for improving the studio, refining production workflows and recommending equipment that will help us create even higher-quality content, always working within agreed budgets.

If you're someone who enjoys solving creative challenges and building something from the ground up, this is an opportunity to make your mark.

Why join Bonners?

Content sits at the heart of our future growth.

You'll work with some of the world's leading musical instrument brands, gain hands-on access to incredible products, collaborate with professional musicians and presenters, and create content that reaches musicians across the UK and beyond.

Unlike many content roles, you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of our entire video operation, helping to shape how Bonners communicates with customers for years to come.

To apply

Please send us:

  • Your CV
  • A short covering letter telling us why this role interests you
  • Links to examples of your work, including videos, photography, social media content or an online portfolio. We're much more interested in seeing what you can create than simply reading about it.
