This role is for a creator-first strategist who lives and breathes TikTok (and knows how to translate that energy to Instagram). You’ll be the driving force behind trend-led, initiative-driven in-house content, with a major focus on executive-level content creation and execution meaning you’re here to make the content and make it hit. You’ll partner closely with the Social Media Manager to shape ideas, push creative forward, and consistently deliver scroll-stopping content, especially during TikTok promotional moments and events where we need to show up big, fast, and on-brand.
Key Responsibilities- Content Strategy + Trend Leadership
● Own the development of trend-led and initiative-driven concepts for in-house content across TikTok and Instagram.
● Proactively research trends daily (sounds, formats, cultural moments, creators, beauty conversations) and translate them into brand-right ideas. Bring fresh creative concepts forward consistently – not just “trend hopping,” but building repeatable formats that perform. Content Creation (Hands-On Execution)
● Create and publish a high volume of content across TikTok and Instagram from concept to final post.
● Film, edit, and deliver content that meets platform best practices (hooks, pacing, native feel, captions, etc.).
● Produce a mix of content types including: – On-camera content (talking to camera, demos, reactions, storytelling) – Product-focused videos (education, transformation, routine content, UGC-style) – Quick-turn reactive content based on trends and performance insights TikTok Promotional Events Ownership
● Own TikTok promotional moments/events that require dedicated promotional posting.
● Plan content beats around key dates, execute assets quickly, and ensure posts are platform-native (not “ad in disguise”). Coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep promo content aligned with launches, offers, and campaign messaging. Collaboration + Campaign Support
● Execute independently on assigned concepts while contributing your own creative direction.
● Support larger campaigns by contributing creative input and helping shape the content approach across TikTok/IG.
● Work alongside creative/brand teams (and potentially product, comms, or paid) to ensure content is aligned and performs. Performance Mindset
● Use platform insights to learn what’s working and iterate fast.
● Track content performance and apply learnings to improve hooks, formats, frequency, and creative direction
Qualifications and Experience
● Proven experience creating content for TikTok (beauty/lifestyle highly preferred).
● Strong creative instincts + ability to turn trends into brand-safe, high-performing ideas fast.
● Comfortable being on camera and directing others on camera when needed.
● Solid editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar) and an eye for pacing + hooks.
● Deep understanding of TikTok/IG formats, culture, and what drives reach + retention.
● Highly organised, quick-moving, and calm under pressure when deadlines are tight.
