Head of Marketing Jobs in Uttar Pradesh, India at Wizcart
The Role
You will be the brand builder, growth engine, and marketing leader all in one. From viral social
campaigns and guerrilla street marketing to billboards, paid ads, influencer collaborations, and
earned media, you will do whatever it takes to make Wizcart a household name in every market
we enter.
You will build the playbook in Calgary, prove it works, then replicate and scale it across Canada,
the United States, and beyond. This is a high-ownership role where you will shape how Wizcart
grows internationally from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Market Launch & Expansion
• Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for Wizcart's launch in Calgary, Canada
• Develop a scalable GTM playbook that can be adapted and rolled out to new Canadian
cities and provinces
Social Media & Content Management
• Be the social media coordinator — directly plan, create, schedule, and publish all social
posts, reels, stories, and community engagement across platforms (Instagram, TikTok,
Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
• Own and execute the content calendar aligned with launch timelines, campaigns, and
seasonal opportunities
• Brief the Ads Content Creator/Editor on creative requirements; review and approve final
output before publishing
• Actively engage with the audience — respond to comments, DMs, and build community
presence
• Monitor social performance, trends, and audience sentiment; adjust content strategy in
real time
Paid Advertising & Digital Marketing
• Be the ad specialist, directly set up, run, optimize, and scale paid campaigns across Meta
Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and other channels, with digital marketing expert.
• Hands-on campaign management: audience targeting, A/B testing creatives, bid
strategies, retargeting, and lookalike audiences
• Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager (who is an ads execution expert) — provide
strategic direction, campaign ideas, audience insights, and creative inputs
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on campaign optimization; bring a brand-
first lens to performance marketing
• Define ad budgets, allocate spend across channels, and optimize for ROAS in each market
• Own the full marketing funnel: awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention
campaigns

Guerrilla, Offline & Unconventional Marketing
• Plan and execute guerrilla marketing campaigns, street activations, flash mobs, surprise-
and-delight moments, sticker campaigns, pop-up events, and anything that creates buzz.
• Own billboard and outdoor advertising (OOH) strategy,identify high-traffic placements,
design messaging, negotiate deals
• Execute hyper-local marketing activations tailored to each city and neighborhood
• Leverage micro-moments and local events (festivals, community gatherings, sports
events) to drive brand visibility
• Think like a content creator, not an ad filmmaker, every campaign should be designed to
earn shares, comments, and organic media coverage
• Build a "will this go viral?" filter for every marketing initiative — prioritize earned media over
paid reach
• Explore unconventional brand collaborations, music, entertainment, local influencers,
pop culture tie-ins (similar to Zomato's "Jalebi Baby" with Universal Music)
Brand Building & Creative Leadership
• Own Wizcart's brand voice, identity, and positioning across all markets
• Lead the creative direction for all campaigns, from concept to execution
• Build brand love, not just brand awareness, create emotional connections with customers
• Develop culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with local audiences in each market
• Champion storytelling as a growth lever, customer stories, provider stories, community
impact
• Identify and manage influencer partnerships, celebrity collaborations, and brand
ambassador programs
Growth Strategy
• Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to each market
• Identify and prioritize growth channels — partnerships, paid acquisition, organic, referral,
and community-driven strategies
• Set and own market-level KPIs: user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue targets
• Build and manage localized marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing and
content teams

Team Leadership & KPI Management
• Manage and mentor the existing marketing team:
❖ Digital Marketing Manager (ads execution expert) — provide strategic direction,
campaign ideas, and creative inputs; collaborate on performance optimization
❖ Ads Content Creator/Editor (produces full videos, visuals, and audio) — brief
creatives, review output quality, ensure alignment with campaign strategy and brand
• Identify hiring needs and help build out the marketing team as Wizcart scales (e.g., social
media coordinators, copywriters, performance marketers)
• Set clear KPIs for each team member and conduct regular performance reviews
• Key KPIs to own and track:
❖ Acquisition: CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), new user sign-ups per market, app
installs
❖ Engagement: social media growth rate, engagement rate, content reach and
impressions
❖ Ads: ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), CTR, CPC, CPM, conversion rates by channel
❖ Retention: MAU/DAU, repeat order rate, churn rate
❖ Revenue: revenue per market, LTV (Lifetime Value), LTV:CAC ratio
❖ Expansion: number of active markets, time-to-launch per new market
• Build dashboards and weekly/monthly reporting cadence for leadership visibility
Partnerships & Business Development
• Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with local businesses, merchants,
and distribution partners in each market
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, and potential brand
ambassadors in target regions
• Explore co-marketing opportunities and local sponsorships to accelerate market
penetration
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as the central bridge between Marketing, Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales,
and Customer Success
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure market readiness
(localization,compliance, logistics, payments)
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to build region-specific onboarding and
support processes
• Coordinate with Finance on marketing budgets, forecasting, and ROI reporting
• Provide market feedback to the product team to inform feature prioritization and
localization needs
• Run regular cross-functional syncs to align teams on launch timelines and dependencies

Marketing Operations & Pipeline Management
• Build and own the marketing operations pipeline — from campaign ideation through
execution, measurement, and iteration
• Define and document marketing workflows, approval processes, and SLAs across the
team
• Set up and manage marketing tools and systems (CRM, email automation, analytics
platforms, project management)
• Create a repeatable campaign launch process that scales across markets
• Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources across channels, markets, and
initiatives
• Ensure all marketing assets, campaigns, and creatives move through a structured pipeline
with clear stages, owners, and deadlines
Analytics & Optimization
• Track, analyze, allocation and report on GTM performance metrics across all active
markets
• Run experiments and A/B tests to optimize acquisition funnels, messaging, and channel
mix
• Use data to make go/no-go decisions on market expansion timing and resource
What We Are Looking For
Must-Have
• 5-8+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, brand marketing, or growth marketing —
ideally at a high-growth startup or consumer tech company
• Proven track record of launching products or services in new markets (Canada and/or USA
experience strongly preferred)
• Deep hands-on expertise across multiple marketing disciplines:
❖ Digital: Social media management, paid ads (Meta, Google, TikTok), SEO/SEM, email
marketing, influencer marketing
❖ Offline/Unconventional: Guerrilla marketing, billboard/OOH campaigns, street
activations, event marketing, pop-ups
❖ Brand: Brand building, creative direction, storytelling, PR, earned media strategies
• Strong understanding of digital marketing — able to provide strategic inputs and
collaborate
effectively with ads specialists
• Experience managing and mentoring marketing teams — including digital marketing
managers and content creators
• Content-creator mindset — thinks in terms of virality, shareability, and earned media, not
just
paid reach
• Strong understanding of the Canadian market landscape, consumer behavior, and
regulatory environment
• Experience building GTM playbooks from scratch and scaling them across multiple regions
• Ability to build marketing operations pipelines with clear workflows, approvals, and
reporting
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to set KPIs, build dashboards, and translate metrics
into
actionable strategy
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — comfortable working across Product,
Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Finance
• Excellent project management skills — ability to juggle multiple market launches
