Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Design Strategy (40%)
- Develop annual design direction aligned with brand development goals and international expansion strategy (especially the US, Thailand, and Southeast Asia).
- Develop seasonal collections (Spring/Summer – Fall/Winter) and special product lines.
- Standardize design DNA across product lines.
- Research and forecast global fashion trends, applying them to actual products.
- Product Development & Commercialization (35%)
- Manage the entire product lifecycle: Idea Sketch Techpack Sampling Launch.
- Coordinate with R&D (fabric & material research), Sourcing, and Merchandising departments to optimize cost, quality, and timeline.
- Ensure first‑sample approval rate 85% and on‑time development 90%.
- Team Management (25%)
- Recruit, train, and develop the design team (10+ members).
- Establish design SOPs and quality control systems.
- Train the team in trend forecasting and technical design skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience: 7–10 years in fashion design, including at least 3 years in a management role (Team Lead / Manager).
- Special Requirement: Proven experience designing activewear / performance apparel for the US, Thai, or Southeast Asian markets.
- Brand Background: Preference for candidates who have worked at major fashion brands (both international and local).
- Personality: Gentle, calm, flexible, able to work well with a demanding, busy, and somewhat difficult superior.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to build a team, inspire others, and work under high pressure.
- English: Fluent (communication, reading technical documents, working with international partners).
- Mindset: Combines creative vision with commercial understanding and production cost awareness.
