Job Responsibilities
This role oversees marketplace strategy, brand partner success, team capability, and execution excellence across platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and live commerce channels. The role ensures scalable growth for brand partners while building a high-performing e-commerce organization aligned with Rurutiki’s commercial and strategic objectives.
E-Commerce & Social Commerce Strategy
- Define and execute the overall e-commerce and social commerce strategy aligned with company growth goals.
- Drive GMV, revenue, margin, and portfolio performance across all marketplaces and live selling platforms.
- Identify new platform opportunities, business models, and growth levers.
- Partner with Head of Sales to align go-to-market and growth priorities.
Marketplace & Portfolio Performance Ownership
- Own end-to-end performance of all managed brand portfolios across marketplaces.
- Set clear performance benchmarks, KPIs, and governance standards for E-Commerce teams.
- Ensure strong campaign planning, execution quality, and post-campaign analysis.
Brand Partner Leadership & Strategic Advisory
- Act as a senior strategic advisor to key brand partners and principals.
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions focused on sustainable growth and profitability.
- Manage escalations, key negotiations, and long-term partnership decisions.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop E-Commerce Managers, Key Accounts & Admins.
- Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline within the E-Commerce function.
- Set clear performance standards, role clarity, and accountability across teams.
Operations, Inventory & Execution Governance
- Oversee inventory health, assortment strategy, pricing governance, and execution discipline.
- Ensure operational readiness for campaigns, peak periods, and new brand launches.
- Work closely with Operations, Data Strategy, Social Commerce, and Creative teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Performance Analytics & Decision Making
- Own e-commerce dashboards, reporting cadence, and performance reviews.
- Use data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities, risks, and optimization levers.
- Drive continuous improvement through structured reviews and action plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 –10 years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or online retail, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large portfolios, teams, and complex brand relationships.
- E-Commerce Leadership: Deep understanding of marketplaces, social commerce, and live selling ecosystems.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong grasp of GMV drivers, margins, pricing, and inventory economics.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate market trends into scalable growth strategies.
- People Leadership: Strong coaching, performance management, and succession planning skills.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable owning dashboards, KPIs, and performance reviews.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
