Colega AI is hiring a Head of Content to run and grow our Japanese social media presence.
We’re looking for someone deeply online, highly creative, and obsessed with content that performs. This is a hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing content across TikTok, Instagram, X, and other social platforms in Japan.
The role will start part-time with the opportunity to grow into a larger role over time.
What You’ll Do
– Own Colega’s Japanese social media channels
– Create short-form videos, UGC-style content, memes, reels, and image content
– Write hooks, captions, scripts, and social copy
– Stay on top of Japanese internet culture, trends, and viral formats
– Experiment with new content styles and growth strategies
– Manage posting calendars and daily publishing
– Work directly with the founders on brand voice and content direction
– Analyze content performance and optimize for engagement and growth
– Collaborate with creators and influencers when needed
What We’re Looking For
– Native-level Japanese
– Strong English speaking skills
– Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and social media trends
– Experience creating content that performs well online
– Comfortable filming and editing content yourself
– Strong taste in internet-native content and storytelling
– Fast execution and startup mindset
– Ability to work independently and move quickly
– Bonus if you’ve worked with AI tools, startups, or creator brands
