Group Creative Director – Art Jobs in New York, NY at New York Technology Partners

We are currently partnered with a digital transformation consultancy that is looking for a Group Creative Director (Art). This is a full-time and fully on-site position in their flagship design studio in NYC.

The Opportunity

This role is for creatives who refuse to choose between craft and performance.

We combine world-class creativity with advanced technology—turning data, personalization, and AI into brand platform ideas that earn attention and drive real outcomes. Our ambition is to create work that delivers both creative excellence and measurable impact.

We are building a flagship creative team accountable for both breakthrough brand platforms—film, OOH, social—and shippable digital experiences, including web, apps, and prototypes. You are a player-coach, setting the bar for taste, storytelling, interaction design, and velocity.

You will help build a modern creative model with direct access to senior leadership and deep technical capabilities. The opportunity is to shape the product and the process. The tradeoff: you are building the engine while driving the car.

What You Will Do

Craft and Story

Own the organizing idea and the system that brings it to life—from narrative through production.

Drive the big idea and the system beneath it: narrative arc, voice, visual language, and extensions into culture.

Develop concepts that show up at the moment of need—persuasive on screen and designed to drive behavior wherever people experience the brand.

Direct treatments, boards, casting POV, and editorial rhythm. Partner with directors, editors, and production teams to protect the idea through delivery.

Use contemporary tools to visualize quickly—boards, ripomatics, lightweight demos, and generative AI pre-visualization. Know when to move to high-craft production versus when speed and iteration matter more.

Design campaign ideas as reusable systems—templates, tone kits, motion grammar—so value compounds over time.

Digital and Interactive

Ensure brand platforms work in the real world, not just in presentations.

Translate brand platforms and underlying technology into interactive systems—web, apps, and service touchpoints—in close partnership with strategy, product, and engineering.

Champion interaction craft, motion, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and measurable outcomes across activation, conversion, and retention.

Creative Leadership and Clients

Set the creative standard in partnership with senior leadership and build repeatable rituals that scale quality.

Act as a trusted partner in senior client conversations, delivering concise, compelling storytelling that drives decisions.

Translate creative value across brand, business, and technology to align stakeholders, guide teams, and lead new business efforts.

Team and Operations

Recruit, mentor, and develop creative leaders while fostering diverse, inclusive teams that produce stronger ideas, faster.

Partner with Production and Operations to manage scope and timelines—knowing when to ship quickly and when to refine for maximum impact.

What You Have Done

12+ years at agencies or studios known for high-quality work, with 3+ years leading multiple accounts at a senior creative level.

A portfolio of award-recognized campaigns and shipped digital experiences demonstrating cultural impact or measurable behavior change.

Led integrated teams from ideation through final delivery across brand platforms, film, digital production, and optimization.

Proven ability to build client trust and lead high-stakes conversations.

Experience as the most senior creative in the room, accountable for outcomes—not just ideas.

Fluency in strategy and data, including brand lift, funnel metrics, and effectiveness—without compromising creative excellence.
