About The Role
Red Carrot is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team on a remote basis. This position is contingent upon contract award and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility federal communications contract. The successful candidate will support the customer's External Affairs office by developing compelling visual materials that effectively communicate the agency's mission and initiatives. This role requires a creative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and other stakeholders to produce engaging and accessible graphics for diverse audiences. The Junior Graphic Designer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and coordinating various outreach materials, ensuring all deliverables align with federal standards, including accessibility and branding guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Media, Studio Arts, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
- Experience assisting senior staff in designing posters, exhibits, publications, brochures, reports, and outreach materials
- Experience designing presentations, partner templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets
- Ability to coordinate the production process of printed and interactive materials
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and ensuring graphics are 508 compliant
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to obtain the required government Fitness Determination
Responsibilities
- Assist senior staff in creating and developing visual materials such as posters, exhibits, publications, photos, brochures, and reports for federal outreach initiatives
- Design and develop engaging presentations, partner templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets tailored to client needs
- Create static and digital graphics, animations, icons, and multimedia content optimized for web and print formats
- Develop and refresh templates for standard outreach products, ensuring consistency and branding standards are maintained
- Coordinate the production process for all printed and interactive deliverables, managing timelines and quality control
- Ensure all graphics and materials adhere to federal accessibility standards, including 508 compliance
- Support the maintenance of brand consistency across all deliverables and communications
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met effectively and efficiently
