Our University client, is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join their team in a project based capacity!
This is a remote opportunity estimated at 10-20 hours per week to start, with an initial July project spike followed by ongoing, ad hoc design support at reduced hours.
The ideal candidate will have their own laptop and strong experience creating polished, print-ready marketing materials aligned to established brand guidelines. You will work closely and collaborate with department leadership, across a newly formed group of university departments. Your primary goal will be to elevate and standardize existing materials, ensuring all assets align with branding while delivering clean, professional, and cohesive designs.
Responsibilities:
- Redesign and enhance existing marketing materials (flyers, posters, brochures, internal collateral)
- Condense and reformat longer documents into clean, digestible layouts (including QR code integration)
- Ensure all deliverables align with brand guidelines (fonts, colors, logos)
- Create cohesive visual systems across multiple departments
- Develop print-ready assets for campus use, including A-frame posters
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on designs
- Contribute to light creative exploration (e.g., infographics, organizational charts)
- Manage multiple small projects while maintaining clear communication with the team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of graphic design experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing print-focused design work (flyers, brochures, posters, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience working within established brand guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently and minimize revision cycles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
- Ability to work independently as a remote, embedded team member
